There Is A Faster Way To Train The 700,000 Unfilled Trade Positions
I am using AI to capture and transfer the knowledge and experience of master tradesmen, training apprentices faster and more efficiently than ever before.

Master Level Expertise On Demand
Backed By AI Supported Learning Archive
The primary way to train has always been for an apprentice to shadow a journeyman or master tradesman. Now we can all talk and share images and text, and use FaceTime to help solve installation and training issues. The next step is to equip the apprentice with a mounted camera on a hat or glasses, along with an earpiece, so they can keep their hands free to work while the journeyman or master tradesman stays connected via the web to direct and teach.
The instructor could direct multiple people at the same time, alternating as each person is on their own separate screen. This allows the instructor to provide personal, one-on-one training for specific challenges in the field and in the classroom. Each situation is recorded with video and audio for use as a training video, then loaded into an AI library that transcribes everything and matches the transcription to specific time marks in the video.
This does two things: it lets you search the videos for future use when someone has a question about a specific situation addressed in the video, and it brings you directly to the specific minute mark in the video; it also updates the library with new situations and topics.
Each video in the library will ask the viewer to rate it to confirm it provided a solution. If more information is needed or the topic isn’t available in the library, you’ll be directed to connect with an instructor for a solution.
This creates an ongoing, updated library of information and reduces redundancy in instructor training on videos that have already provided solutions in the field.
This process provides an environment to capture the knowledge and experience of older tradesmen retiring and makes it accessible for future use.
The goal is to get this set up on specific private AI platforms to maintain its integrity and accuracy.

I am in the process of setting up the first version of this Ai library for panic bars in the lock hardware industry, as they are one of the most complicated applications in door hardware.

About Dave

Dave Jabas began his career as a locksmith in 1976, and in the late 1980s he specialized in commercial lock hardware, including high-security locks and electrified hardware.
As security became more and more important in our everyday lives, he became a specialist in electrified security hardware that ties-in to card access and fire alarms. In 2003, he began to market his specialty across the Internet on his website WholesaleLocks.com.
Private companies and government agencies trusted him to handle their most sensitive lock hardware needs.
He has continued to embrace changes in technology, now using AI to better work with available resources to simplify the documentation and hardware for complicated lock applications.
Frequently Asked Questions
Please reach us at dave@panicbars.ai if you cannot find an answer to your question.
How is this different than just using Google or Chat GPT?
Google and Chat GPT are providing general information and often just directing you to websites for more information.
This is a private AI that is trained and verified by myself and other master locksmiths which provides more thorough, accurate and complete information.
Why is this just panic bars and not all locks?
Panic Bars are some of the most complicated lock hardware and the most expensive so we’re starting with Duprin 99 and 33 series which are commonly specified for many commercial applications that integrate with card access and fire alarms.
